Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sellovate ("Sellovate," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our website, dashboard, and AI tools (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form via our authentication provider, Supabase).

Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, plan, and billing history, but Sellovate does not store your full payment card number — Stripe handles that directly.

Etsy shop data. If you connect your Etsy shop, we access shop, listing, and order data through Etsy's official API, using the permissions you grant, in order to power research, analytics, and listing optimization features.

Content you provide. Prompts, product descriptions, images, and other input you submit to our AI tools, along with the AI-generated output produced from that input.

Usage data. Information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages visited, features used, and generation counts, collected automatically through standard web technologies.

Uploaded files. Images and assets you upload or that our tools generate on your behalf are stored using Cloudflare R2 object storage.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating images, listings, mockups, and analytics on your behalf;
• Process subscription payments and manage your account and billing;
• Sync and analyze your connected Etsy shop data to power research and recommendation features;
• Send transactional communications, such as billing receipts, security alerts, and service updates;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance, security, and reliability of the Service;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service; and
• Comply with legal obligations.

To generate images, listings, and recommendations, the content you submit is sent to the underlying AI infrastructure that powers each tool — including large language model providers for text and listing generation, and image-generation model providers for visual content. These providers process your input solely to return a result to you and, per our agreements with them, do not use your content to train their models. We retain generated output and associated prompts in your account so you can access your generation history.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf, including Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare R2 (file storage), and our AI infrastructure providers (content generation) — each bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Etsy. Where you authorize a connection, limited account information is exchanged with Etsy to establish and maintain that integration, governed by Etsy's own privacy practices.
• Legal and safety reasons. Where required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Sellovate, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, billing, or dispute- resolution purposes.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secrets management — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the GDPR if you are in the EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA if you are a California resident).

You can access and update most account information directly from your dashboard, or request assistance by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law.

Sellovate and its service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect information transferred internationally.

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you, such as by email or an in-product notice, before the changes take effect.
